
The demographic profile of my chosen magazines target audience would look something like this:
For an “ok” style magazine I believe the target audience would be round mid 20’s to about 40’s, this is because I believe that they would be working and would like to come home and relax. It is aimed at women because of the adverts inside such as; homely products and perfume/make-up etc. I think it’s Regionality is city/towns because that’s where all the action happens and there’s not anything about country life in it. I think that this style of magazine is aimed at married people because it has that homely feel to it and has things in it of celebs marriages and so they compare themselves to each other. The social status is round about the C-D area because inside its not advertising expensive luxuries and the English inside is not that hard.
Psychographic profile of my chosen magazine target audience:
Mainstreamers. I believe it’s more aimed at mainstreamers because a lot of women between the ages of about 25-40 yrs old are either starting their life or calming things down so being considered as “normal” would represent the mainstreamers for this. And this also is considered for 40% of the population so there must be a market for it.
The lifestyle subsets for my magazine are:
I believe the lifestyle subset for “ok” is yuppies. Because it is aimed at a young/middle aged audience.
